Tree Planted In Honor Of Larry Haugen

The City of St. Peter now has a new tree. It was planted this morning in honor of Larry Haugen. Family and coworkers gathered to plant the tree in front of the St. Peter chamber of commerce. Haugen was the president and CEO of the chamber for the last 13 years. He died this past March of a heart attack. Family said that Haugen worked hard for the chamber because he was so proud of St. Peter. Mike Haugen says, "I know for a fact that he's up in heaven, he's watchin all us and he's proud of all us. Proud of everybody, Proud of the city, and this Saturday will be the first time he'll be able to watch the parade, rather than be involved in the parade." The entire family made it to the ceremony, including one brother that came with his family all the way from Nashville.
